Frozen Yogurt Design Plan

Boston

this weekend much good stuff was going on, because I was visiting a friend in Boston:)
Resi spent nine months in Boston at the Fraunhofer Institute for the internship and to their undergraduate work because I had to write and of course they visit. So we went on Thursday morning
going on.
Jim drove me and Verena morning at eight clock in the car to Columbus to the airport and then from there we went with Stop in Washington to Boston.
And once again we were lucky. While it had rained all week in Boston just now the sun shone the whole weekend for us and it was really nice and warm! When we got on Sunday took off, the sky was again covered with clouds and it was an icy wind - I would say, something called luck:)
When we got there so on Thursday night in Boston, we met with Resi in a comfortable student café, talked for a while and then went home to Resi. She lives in an apartment with three other interns from German Fraunhofer, two boys and a girl.

And here you see their first WG:

Theresa's room

I do not know how long they have collected for it;)

living

And the kitchen

After then showed us their apartment had came the first highlight. There was real meal with German bread !!!!! :)
Because right near Theresa's apartment there is a bakery that sells German bread so we could leave us after such a long time to finally taste again with bread crust. As icing on the whole i-Theresa's parents had their also have cheese from the cheese factory Riedlinger allowed, so the dinner was a real feast for our injured American palate.

very happy Sarah:)

After we had then strengthened, we brought roommates Resist the American game "Spoon" to ...

The Resi and I love

And then we went to the "Thirsty Thursday" so "thirsty Thursday ". That means we all went to a club a few train stops away, in the Thursday evening, many students are traveling and" usher in the weekend.
The club was really jam-packed and so was the whole evening, the dance floor swinging.

dancing ...

Then when we got home at night gabs still delicious scrambled eggs in there with about 4 cloves of garlic. Theresa's roommate Mark is a big garlic fan and wanted us to necessarily convince you that never can be too much garlic in the food.

And here you see that he also likes butter quite like. The thick white butter on my bread, namely: D

... and here is the garlic-attack!

Verena at the time the garlic-attack was already in bed, was then in the morning somehow not so enthusiastic: D

On Friday morning I went and Verena us then alone on the way to Boston to see us in more detail.
We ran from the so-called Freedom Trail. This is a red line painted on the road that runs through the entire city and can be reached by means of which all the important sights of Boston. As the weather was so beautiful, we spent almost the whole day to look into the city.
In comparison to Chicago Boston a very European city than high-rise and a lot of brick houses.
But see for yourself:

After breakfast at Starbucks

A war memorial to the fallen soldiers of all Hundemärckchen in the Iraq war

Even a ride on the ferry we made

The skyline of Boston in bright sunshine

And I on ferry

And of course we have also seen the scene of the Boston Tea Party in 1773. And it could even ship a replica of orginial ...

guns

again the beautiful skyline

After the ferry ride, we have then in a very stylish Mexican restaurant ingested, in which the entire walls were painted by various local artists

On the tables were paper tablecloths and coolies could while away the time until then paint with food ... ♥

According to the Freedom Trail Resi then finally had a day and we went on a shopping trip in downtown Boston.
back late with fairly heavy feet in the evening we went into the flat to a steak dinner. The boys had bought steaks Riessen and although they had warned me the day before, that there would be no side dishes for steak, I was a little surprised when not turned out as a joke. The boys ate their steaks really without any side dish! But thank God, Theresa is a vegetarian and so I could take some of their vegetarian lasagna as Beialge, and that has not really fit perfectly;)

Riess Ami steaks

And when you the image over it again anseht ye may know that there was smoke in the kitchen while we have quite cooked. Unfortunately, no resis kitchen exhaust hood and so went to a few minutes, suddenly the fire alarm off!
boomed in the whole apartment is a loud siren and even the whole staircase of the apartment building went down the detector. It really was a deafening noise.
We then initially hesitant running back and forth and tried the alarm off by itself. That was not. Markus then called some people and asked what its for to do now, but it had then done very quickly, as suddenly two firefighters stood by us in the apartment!
The fire alarm is an alarm that automatically stood next to the fire department and so then suddenly these two gentlemen in our apartment. Resist
was welcome kit, with an innocent look: "We just cooked steak!" : D
The firemen were then eventually something bad mood because they were almost disengaged for free, but what can we help it if the Americans do not install hoods?
with only one hand was the problem solved and then again Peace in the house.
Since we had cooked only two of the steaks, we opened all the windows and put two fans in the kitchen, and then the rest cook for about: D

front of our door were two fire engines and a police car ...

I and my rather large steak

mhmmmm .... yammi:)

And the girls with eating

The dessert - delicious ice

And so is the course - Rinse the guys:)

All the later it gets the more crazy ideas : table tennis with a frying pan ...

... and St. Mark's painted toenails bright red: D

On Saturday morning we went along with the Resi after Harvard, the oldest and arguably most famous university in the United States and I can say that the campus is equipped with all the buildings very very impressive. In such an environment will be learning just as much better.

The entrance to Harvard University

The Dinning Hall, in which the food is served!

enjoy the sun:)

The library

A Memorial Church to Harvard students, in 1st or 2 World War have fallen

And here I find Verena and the founder of Harvard University.
It is said that a wish will come true if you touch the left foot of the statue.
Theresa, however, has a guide with a Harvard student participated, the told her that the Harvard students like to pee after a party completely drunk on the wrong side of the statue ... So I have then and Verena but not necessary at all like the wish:)

Again the Dinning Hall. Almost looks like Harry Potter. Very nice!

One of the dormitories

After we had then considered Harvard, we were to lunch at Theresa's boss invited.
Theresa's boss is Indian and so are his wife has pulled a super delicious Indian food. And although the food of his evidence in only 2 / 3 was as sharp as it usually is, I had to really sweat while eating! It was so incredibly sharp, but also very very tasty! Overall, they had about 10 different cooked dishes, from chicken to ribs, various lentils, spinach and zucchini, pickled eggs, and of course, rice and naan, the Indian bread.
had for dessert there will be so something like porridge and I was then hardly able to stand up so full I was eating:)

The Germans

The super-tasty Indian food

while eating ...

The twins of Theresa's boss. Two really cute guys who have talked all afternoon:)

After the delicious meal we were three girls then again on a shopping trip in the Cambridge Side Mall. Actually I wanted to buy a winter jacket so important and winter shoes, but somehow I've found and then only other stuff we probably need to go shopping again soon ;-)

And the evening it was
then again bring out all the reserves for Mark's farewell party. Markus namely flies back to Germany on Wednesday, as his internship is over, and so on Saturday a farewell party took place in Riessen Theresa WG.

And the party started right with the fact that we taught the Americans maps bubbles ...

mhmmmmm .... Chips:)

We told the Americans that drinking game where you must always knock with his hand on the table. All are in order. If there is a knock two changes of direction ... Whiteness is not how the game is, but you know it all safely?

And I was really good in the game. 've Won a lot.

On Sunday morning there was a hangover breakfast at a bagel cafe.

Here's my bagel. I ordered a bagel with scrambled eggs and cheese and thought actually to be served fresh scrambled eggs ...
But no, I'm in America ... the yellow plate that you see here is the scrambled egg that is almost so done as a plate heated only very briefly ...
But was still very tasty!

mhmmmmmm ...

And Resi has dipped her bagel in ketchup. So I really do not know how to eat after a night like this for breakfast?

!!!!!! And here our Brooooooooot :)
Resi is just for us rode our bikes to the bakery and bought us two loaves of real German bread! Very very nice! And so it has clearly saved us our week. From now will only eat bread:)

And besides, she bought us a pretzel:)

Here is a close-up =)

Yes, and then was our weekend, unfortunately, already over and we had the airport.
But it really was a wonderful weekend and clearly has a taste for more travel. I can not wait until December to New York, Florida and Vancouver's.
