Review: Classic Africa Poliza

This photo album with pictures of the star photographer Michael Poliza offers already by its cover her. Reminiscent namely the coat of an animal. If you gently with your hand moves over the book, you have to pet the feeling of an animal, not elephants, not even a lion, more like a giraffe or a zebra, though the book cover is held entirely in brown.

Poliza announced in the introduction, "I love Africa ', explaining that this continent has a special meaning for him. He lived until 2008, seven years in Cape Town and used the time in the African bush to go on safari. The photographer reported that he met in that time, the countries of Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda and Kenya. Attracted him, the wilderness and the animals. He was happy to be guided by the rhythm of nature. The best moments he captured with the camera.

The opening words can be read in English, German, French, English and Italian. The epilogue and the short biography at the end Poliza are printed only in English. A total of 140 photos, almost exclusively animal photographs are kept in brown tones on a light cream color. This color is extremely noble and convey warmth, the loving eyes on the images to reflect subtly white.

The photos are commented on briefly in English. We learn each, when and where they have been included and feels in a different world to look. This is not surreal, but very real, but the hours already listening. Grazing buffalo and an elephant to impress the fore by their peacefulness. In the pictures you can see elephants, including a bunch that can take almost like a general elephant and shows them who the boss is here. Antelope in motion, but also dust trails of elephants which hold on a second photo her trunk into the water, impress the viewer as well as the photos of monkeys. Poliza not forget to mention that 98% of the DNA of a chimpanzee resembles our own.

I was most fascinated by the lion images. Your view is sluggish, lurking, almost left to their rank in the wild apparently being aware. The lion dominates everything, so the message. Particularly interesting is the double-page photo of a roaring lion. He roars calmly, as his body rests in the grasses. From it does not anger, but rather vanity. Everyone should see and admire him, the king of beasts. has

leopards prey look, and a ravenous lion, the jackals in tow to show realities of life. The scanned rhino looks like a primitive animal with his hairy ears. The eyes of individual animals are illuminated, and the dipping into the water trunk of an elephant.

A huge Baobab in Botswana is also photographed birds and the property of being able to fly through the opportunity to protect themselves from predators on Earth at least. Eating is being eaten and the motto on this earth. This is documented by the example of a lion who beats his teeth mercilessly in a buffalo.

Creepy does the crocodile, whose gaping mouth is seen. In this picture I had once on the "Water Music" think a book that I recommend in this regard you.

I share with my Mitrezensenten the opinion that Michael Poliza book "Classic Africa" a wonderful book, is truly worth the purchase.
The reviewed product is available in stores everywhere.
