So, here again a small update, which was with me the last week going on ...
The week started on Monday, first time with a dinner in the port city pub with Verena.
Where it is not, of course, really go with a meal in Germany is to compare. Why? That you will soon see in our courts:

traditional side, we have then played Memory. The fact we have always played with Kenta Sato, before moving to Australia. And you will not believe, but even Kenta reads my blog every week diligently and although it is written in German, he even understands pretty much as it appears from our Skype-meeting ever! This is really amazing!

who has never played the game with me, which I should perhaps explain that I can never resist me to break with the image of our sweet Molly sing the praises of the sweetest cat in the world. And actually the Molly-card means at our home always two points ... =) Pretty crazy, I know ... But

On Tuesday evening I was invited to Kayla for dinner. Kayla lives with her parents, about half an hour away from Portsmouth. And I can tell, this family-operated pretty much all the stereotypes and prejudices, for you I had so of Americans / I.
From a distance I knew why fly in America, the houses in every storm always the same ... In this design! Kayla's parents' house is a typical prefab house, far from robust and built from the inside ... let's say .... little messy ...
Then in the living room, of course, an oversized TV and sit in front of dad and daughter and playing Wii. When I walked in I was welcomed very nice, but just because a guest from Germany is there, that is so far that it makes the TV, right? Kayla's mom had cooked
At least for us. I had indeed already been set for a fast-food meal. And then put all into the kitchen and got a Riessen portion of pasta with extra cheese and chicken on the plate. But contrary to my expectations we not sit at the dining room table, but the father and both siblings Kayla marched straight back into the living room watching the TV. Kayla was then I think it a bit embarrassing udn Sun then at least we both ate in the dining room. And Food was actually really tasty, but she is also very difficult!
Then I could sit next to me then the dad on the couch and while we all played alongside Wii then began the usual Question Time: "How is it in Germany do you like America Did you or in Germany?" And, and, and ...
And what was especially disturbing for the father, was the fact that in Germany we may not just go off and can shoot in the forest wild. He took me at least 5 times that night asking if you really in Germany is not just for fun in the forest animals to be shot: D

So what am I to say? Man, man! Since they used the cliché, but in the best of ignorant Americans who are reluctant to order anything in the world against socialism.
So I thought I just changed my part and the theme for dinner. It is then observed but always funny how the Americans are appalled when we told them that it is not every day for meals, as this more expensive than in America =) And

On Wednesday we went with Jim, Kristian and Verena to Golden Corral, a steakhouse with riiiiiiiiießem buffet. Such a big buffet I've really not seen all my life, but look for yourself:

And even a salad bar, which was attended rather bad: D

And the best part was that you had to pay only $ 10 and then was allowed to eat as much as you wanted it!

On Friday evening we went with James and Matt go. When we first launched a major shopping at Walmart, we went home to us one evening with German game Settlers of Catan, ox horn, Memory and German sweets:)
