My 8th Week in Ohio

after you have now finally seen some pictures of Walmart, there's now a small summary of my week ...
On Thursday I spent with my international buddy Kayla. They picked me and Kathy and we are first and foremost American-style food gone. That is the Taco Bell.
And when we asked Kayla on the trip, which would fast-food restaurant they recommend us for sure, came the following reply: "Well ... Taco Bell is really delicious .... And of course Wendy's .... And you have to try Domino's Pizza and Arby's. And the milkshakes from Dairy Queen .... And I love Kentucky Fried Chicken and McDoonalds and ... ... ... .. ": D
So as you see, I still have much good to me: D
And with the Americans is it really so that it at least once a day! go to a fast food restaurant. Prepared here almost not at all if it means warming up it just something in the microwave ...

After dinner we are then short (about a half hour drive) home to Kayla's friend down because his parents' German girls "wanted to know.

On Friday we went again to the soup kitchen to help. And three guesses what time it was common U.S. ... it was just everything fried. From Chicken, other than meat, beans and even pickles!! was simply fried and served up all the people served, of course, on plastic plates ...
The Friday evening we spent with James. He visited with me and Verena an English course and has been learning this semester German. And he invited us to play with him the German game "Settlers of Catan." We have played the whole Friday evening, a lap after the other Settlers of Catan and this time has even won Verena;)

Saturday we helped with the "Country-Wide Clean-Up." Students of the university have to hit on Saturday morning at 9.30am and then only once every supplied with a (plug ugly neon yellow) T-shirt for free and a garbage bag. Then all were divided into different districts to pick up the garbage there. But typical of America, in my opinion was once again only a superficial matter. It was supplied with T-shirts, pictures were made, but no one really meant it seriously. It was all about showing that you are there and so is soooo concerned about the environment ... (I like to refer again to the fact that there is plastic plates and eaten by, each object in its own bag of Walmart -.-)
lunch has We then picked up and Jon we are driven to the shop to Chillicothe. Chilliothe is about an Hour from Portsmouth away and Kathy and I had the shopping trip really necessary. Ever since Friday, it is really cold here suddenly become urgent and we need warm clothes now!

Yes, the stores are already buying Christmas decorations ... and next Halloween decorations: D
