How To Connect An Hdd To My Lg Tv

Wouhoooooo:)

So, just now I wrote my last exam is scheduled for today and relax for the first time and Toro Loco announced ... And of course, my blog views be revived, who lately came a little too short ...
So there was one based on Kenta sad farewell to the last Monday of a highlight on Tuesday! FINALLY, my package arrived from my dear family! I have been waiting a long time exactly 4 weeks later and have certainly not expected that even more important. Actually I was almost sure that it is possible at any airport in America, the customs official my delicious taste with German German wake jam ... All the greater was then the joy when I received the package yet! And the oblique lateral views of the people around me, when I open the mailbox when've got like snow king I've just ignored;)
To celebrate the day we had the delicious German food can taste, of course, the same time and so I have invited Jon and Verena and pizza made with real German Wake Wake! And it was so nice after such a long time to finally bite back into a crisp wake! Yummy! And many thanks to the folks back home!

Yummy Wake up, pack of Maggi and jam:)

On Tuesday I went to Ali and Kristian to the Italian restaurant "Melinis. And I had to Verena and pay. Gambling debts are debts of honor after all. Namely, we had a bet with Ali and Kristian. While Ali was allowed to drink smoke and not the entire Ramadan and Kristian gave up smoking for this time, me and Verena had us abruptly decided to abandon the German speeches. In the first few weeks, we have both with each other that is still spoken in German. And you will not believe it, but on the same day after completion of the bet I said a German sentence: D Well ... go as fast as possible. And it was still such a meaningless sentence. ... Man, man .... Stupid! And so we invited the guys just to eat.
But I can proudly tell you now that me and Verena now been two weeks, when we're alone speak only English. And it works a lot better than I thought! In the beginning it was very funny because we both knew it going in German is much faster and easier thing would explain, but we remained steadfast, and it is always better. And I want to hold out too, because I finally want to dream in English! : D That's my goal!
After we had beaten the then full bellies in Melinis, we went at night to 10 still on ne shopping in Walmart. I wanted to necessarily buy a few cheap clothes in Walmart, because I really need that much, but of course only Verena has again found a thousand things and I have nothing: (Well, maybe klappts this weekend again with ner shopping mall in ner ... time see ...

On Thursday, we then invited Adam to have a meal. There were "Chicken and Dumplings" and Adam for more than two hours has stood for us in the kitchen! He has cooked an entire chicken and then crushed to vegetables and small dumplings of flour and water and then gave it all to a kind of stew with delicious Zweibelbrot! It was really very tasty. And then Adam even bought some extra wine for us, because he knows that I do not like beer (standard rate if I tell any Ami: "What you do not like beer But you're on??? You have to like German beer "!! D can not believe it, I like that as no German beer) and for Verenalein gabs M & Ms ... Really very nice our boys!

delicious wine and "Chicken and Dumplings"

The best cookies I've ever eaten in my life! Jon she had brought us to eat pizza awakening. He had even baked them for us and then immediately by 10 Pieces left there and so we are not even round, then we have selflessly shared with Adam and Brian ... ;)

The last remains of a large basket of "Chicken and Dumplings"

After dinner we went to Ken on ne small house party. On the day it was really quite hot and we were quite glad when it cooled a bit at night and we so before Ken's house sitting, could enjoy the cool breeze and talk ...

Kathy and Hannah

came on Friday the big day. Our presentation from Germany to stand! Verena and I had the full midday on Thursday and Friday to spend the Power Point presentation prepared and then the Americans have very many pictures our beautiful country closer. We have informed them that Germany has more to offer than just Oktoberfest and beer, so we have them, including images of Lake Constance and the Swabian Alb in the North Sea and the Wadden Sea, Christmas markets and of course showed the Daiberhexen and at the end of the presentation were all so excited! All agree that Germany is a beautiful country and some of us now want to come visit even sure:)
According to the presentation, we then all the movies to "Toy Story 3" and then I'm with Nick and Verena in the Irish Pub to sing karaoke. To be precise, Nick sang and I and Verena have not we married:) Especially since Nick is really pretty on it ... has wanted to go to the pub us Nick still with you on a party, but responsible as we are, we have canceled , because on Monday, our first interim test was imminent and we still had not learned anything! Whenever I start wanted something came in between and we are just after the pub home and I then started the night at a yet to learn: D
And Saturday was then almost only learn ... lunch was on the campus a concert with several bands in which the International Forum had a booth to recruit members. At this level, I and Verena worked for a while, the "work" is actually rather enjoy from the sun (! It was super, super hot, I got even have a sunburn) and listen to the bands was ...:)
And the rest of the days today there were actually mostly only learn to make food and sports ...

And Verena got a package from her parents. With delicious German Ritter Sport chocolate powder and Kaba! And with a delicious, warm Kaba learning successful in the way no matter better:)

Yes, and now, at least the intermediate tests for me are over and there are "only" Essays on ...
So, dear ones, I'll now take a power-nap go, then head to aerobics and then enjoy my free Toro Loco in time ...:)

women believe they are better than boys by the age of four

[ Parenta , September 2010] Girls believe they are cleverer, better-behaved and try harder than boys at school from a very young age, new research has shown.

Such opinions are present from at least the time that girls are in their reception year, at the age of four or five, and persist throughout primary school.

Moreover, by the age of eight, boys appear to agree with their classmates, believing that girls are more likely to have what might be deemed the right qualities to do well at school. Children of both sexes also think that, in general, adults believe girls do better at school than boys.

The research, based on detailed questioning of 238 children in two Kent primary schools, was presented at the British Educational Research Association (BERA) conference on Thursday 2 September. It underlines the difficulties that teachers and educationists may face in trying to improve the performance of boys, who lag behind girls on average in most subjects throughout school.

Previous research has suggested that children’s beliefs about what is expected of them can create a “self-fulfilling prophecy”, as girls are perceived to be more likely to do well, then do so, and then expectations as to girls’ future performance are heightened.

Bonny Hartley, of the University of Kent, who presented the research, said: “By seven or eight years old, children of both genders believe that boys are less focused, able, and successful than girls – and think that adults endorse this stereotype.

“There are signs that these expectations have the potential to become self-fulfilling in influencing children’s actual conduct and achievement.”

The research involved presenting children, aged between four and 10, with a series of statements or “scenarios” such as “This child is really clever”; “This child always finishes their work” and “The teacher is taking the register in class and this child sits very quietly, waiting for their name to be called out”.

The children were then asked to point to a picture, in silhouette, of a boy or of a girl to say whether they thought the questioner was talking about a boy or girl.

On average, girls of reception age right through to year five said girls were cleverer, performed better, had better self-control/focus and were better behaved/more respectful. Boys in reception, year one and year two gave answers which were equally split between favouring boys and girls, but by year 3 their beliefs were in line with those of the girls.

Children were also asked to point at either picture in answer to a series of more direct questions such as “Who do you think are cleverer?”, or “Who are better behaved”? The results were broadly similar to those found through the “scenario” statements.

Ms Hartley also presented outline details of an investigation she carried out with 140 children in three Kent primary schools on how gender-related expectations of their performance might affect how they did in tests.

Children were assigned to two groups, with one told that boys do not perform as well as girls, and the other not told this. They were then tested in maths, reading and writing. Boys in the first group performed significantly worse than those in the second, while girls’ overall performance was similar in both groups.

Ms Hartley says the research supported claims that boys’ relatively poor performance nationally could be explained in part by lower expectations.
In the dissertation paper she completed for her Master’s, which formed the basis of the BERA presentation, Ms Hartley suggests changes to what goes on in schools that could help to break the cycle of lower expectations of boys.

Adults should think carefully before using phrases such as “silly boys”, “school boy pranks” and “why can’t you sit nicely like the girls?”, she argues, while schools should also address the policy of seating pupils in ability groups, which would tend to see more girls sitting on “higher achieving” tables.

Do you notice a difference in the way girls act towards boys or treat a child differently dependant on gender? Leave your comments below to join the discussion!

Kenta-is-leaving-Party-Marathon Part 1

So, it is again time for you, provide you with the latest news and pictures from my life here in Ohio. And so today than 5 entries come at once:) Yes, yes, I was very busy this time:)

The last week was clearly under the (very sad) motto: Kenta is leaving (= Kenta goes)

Kenta is, as I already now often mentioned, have a relatively professional baseball player and now has a contract signed in Australia. And so he flew to Australia this morning. And everyone here is quite the after and I must say, I'm pretty sad. But I'm sure we all admire him may soon be on television, because he has beat it! :) And I can then claim later time that I already knew him before he was famous ... hihihi

started the beginning of the week yet relatively quiet, I loaded our two buddies and Verena to another German-dinner, and I even spent my last week for the first time in a long evening at home to my analysis of a play to be written.
Thursdays I'm still busy then the day of my analysis continues to be written, but when the evening was finally finished, party was announced! And I had really deserved! For my play was more than crazy - who cares about it, it is called "Cloud Nine" by Caryl Churchill and is quite sexist. If I had known this in advance, I would never have chosen. But good. I was ready and so he went first with all our favorite restaurant, Toro Loco. There gabs tasty Mexican food and margaritas, especially delicious:) After that we went on ne
Home Party by Ken.

When we got home then from the party at night, we informed our roomies, four cousins, Morgan would come over the weekend and sleep in our apartment would. Great. Yes you can you imagine how great was our excitement, but what could we do. And believe me, if I had known how to leave, I would at night also reacts quite differently. But you can not see into the future ...

Kenta-is-leaving-Party-Marathon Part 2

On Friday, I've helped out again in the soup kitchen. This time gabs hamburgers and for this reason was the real hell: D I had pretty much run around and it was really stressful, especially since you still must always be nice to the people ...
And there were really speak to many people there and everyone wanted to still take Hamburg for home ... Something that Amis.
These hamburger shock then I'm first with Jon at Subway for dinner and then we went on ;-)
Kenta's last softball game. There are relatively many of us have come to cheer on Kenta one last time and then went off in the Irish pub in Portsmouth. There is always karaoke night on Fridays and we all celebrated with Kenta one last time in the pub and sang karaoke.
The whole weekend was unfortunately under the slogan "Kenta ultimate / r ..." That was pretty funny anyway, so the mood was somewhat depressed overall than usual Each the impending departure had in mind and even if we really know until the last 6 weeks, Kenta's really grown to love everyone here and he is someone who holds together the whole group ... Really a shame that he goes!
